Option 1 : 2000

**Given:**

Percentage of voters that didn’t came = 10% of the voters

Number of invalid votes = 600

Difference between valid votes of A and C = 48

**Concept used:**

Registered votes = Valid votes + invalid votes + didn’t vote

**Calculation:**

Let the total valid votes be 100x

Number of valid votes A got = 40x

Remaining valid votes = 60x

Ratio of votes of B and C is in the ratio 2 ∶ 3

Votes of B = (2 / 5) × 60x = 24x

Votes of C = (3 / 5) × 60x = 36x

Difference between valid votes of A and C = 40x - 36x = 4x = 48

⇒ x = 12

⇒ 100x = 1200

Valid votes are 1200

Registered votes = Valid votes + invalid votes + didn’t vote

Registered votes = 1200 + 600 + 10% of Registered voters

90% of Registered votes = 1800

Registered voters = 2000

**∴ The registered voters are 2000**
